Pay for something before you fly

A wallet app that is installed but never used is not a working setup.

Bind the card, then buy a small real thing while you still have your home connection and your bank's fraud desk in your time zone. A declined test at home is a phone call. A declined test at the airport is a meal you cannot buy.

Save a screenshot of a successful payment. If the app asks again after a roaming switch, you at least know what the finished screen looked like.
